Superior National Guard Send-Off Ceremony

Superior, Wi (KDAL)  About 400 Wisconsin National Guard soldiers will have send-off ceremonies in 4 communities around the state this weekend before they are deployed to Iraq.  The soldiers include members of the 950th Engineering Company based in Spooner and Superior, and the 724th Engineer Battlalion in Hayward. Cermonies for about 115 guard members in the Superior area will take place Saturday afternoon at 3 in the Superior High School.  The Hayward send-off is set for noon on Sunday at the Hayward High School.  Since September of 2001, every National Guard unit in Wisconsin has deployed members to active duty in support of the global war on terrorism.
