(St. Paul, MN) -- Three Minnesotans are suing to stop Governor Pawlenty from moving people on General Assistance Medical Care over to MinnesotaCare so that G-A-M-C can be canceled April 1st. Democratic Representative Erin Murphy says she hopes it doesn't impact the negotiations with the governor. Pawlenty spokesman Brian McClung says the lawsuit wants the state to spend money it doesn't have and underscores why the budget should not be run out of a courtroom. The governor has said funding for G-A-M-C must be considered in the larger context of balancing the state budget.
